  1. DIVORCE REQUIREMENTS
    You must be able to demonstrate that your relationship has irretrievably broken down and you have been married for at least one year.
  2. Adultery
    The other party has committed adultery and the person starting the divorce finds it intolerable to live with him/her
  3. Unreasonable Behaviour
    The other party has behaved in such a way that the person starting the divorce cannot reasonably be expected to live with them
  4. Two years separation
    Two years’ separation and consent – the parties have been living apart for at least two years and they agree to a divorce
  5. Five years Separation
    The parties have been living apart for at least five years
  6. Desertion
    The other party has deserted the person starting the divorce for a continuous period of at least two years.
